Hey guys, Dan Rose here. Just wanted to do a video today about the power of social media – oh, I forgot to say, this is Rosie. Rosie’s in for daycare today. She suffers from some pretty bad separation issues at home, but she loves coming to daycare. It really, really helps her with those issues. It also helps with those complaints in the apartment building from the neighbors as well.

Today I wanted to share you with a little bit of advice on social media. I know you’ve all been doing social media for a little while now, but a lot of people are still hesitant to pay money for ads on Facebook. A perfect example: I did a very, very basic ad, threw it out locally to my city, and within half an hour of that ad being approved, boom, we have $100 sale. I think the actual total ad at that particular time cost me 52 cents. 52 cents for that ad on Facebook, and $100 return. Again: 52 cent ad, $100 return. Basically I set up an ad, clicked through to a custom URL which I designed as very, very basic landing page for dog grooming, targeted my local area, I think there was a very small area of about 20,000 people, and like I said, 45 minutes, we have someone calling up and booking in 2 dogs, just seen the Facebook ad, $100, thank you very much.

If you’re not using Facebook ads, why not? You really need to. You really need to look at this as an effective marketing strategy. I had the local newspaper come in the other day. $1,200 for a hope-it-works advertiser half page ad in the newspaper. No way am I going to do that when I’m getting 52 cents and getting $100 return. I really want you to focus over the next little while in creating a good, effective Facebook marketing campaign. If you can’t do it yourself, get out there and do a little bit of research.
